The service temperature for internal solutions is generally -20℃ to 40℃ for frameless tanks and -20℃ to 60℃ for tanks with frames. However, for AT and SA types the upper limit is set at 40℃ taking into account their shape and internal solution, even though they include frames. That said, continuous use at high temperatures may lead to deformation of the tanks or have a negative impact on their lifespan, so we recommend you first consult with our Tokyo Head Office or the branch office or sales office nearest to you. Please also contact our Tokyo Head Office or the branch office or sales office nearest to you regarding use of AT-type tanks at temperatures above 40℃.

The allowable pressure range is +0.98kPa (≒0.01kgf/cm2) for pressurization and -0.49kPa (≒0.005kgf/cm2) for decompression. The tanks have been designed with a standard pressure equal to our atmospheric pressure. Please be aware that exceeding the allowable pressure range may lead to tank deformation and damage.

While life expectancy will vary according to the usage environment (internal solution, location, usage temperature, etc.), our tanks generally have a life expectancy of ten to fifteen years when placed outside.

White-colored (natural) tanks are vulnerable to UV rays and will begin to crack within two to three years, so they are not suitable for outdoor usage.

Polyethylene conforms to the Food Sanitation Act and is acceptable to use with food-grade liquids. To receive a certificate verifying this, please contact our Tokyo Head Office or the branch office or sales office nearest to you.
A.
As polyethylene conforms to the Food Sanitation Act, there are no issues in terms of its safety or hygiene. It will, however, leave an odor in the water. It is possible to reduce the smell by adding activated charcoal to the water or by rinsing several times with hot water, but the odor will not be completely eliminated. Extended periods of storage also increase the likelihood of odors in the water, so we recommend storing your water for as short a time as possible. (Hard water has a tendency to be more resistant to odors than soft water.)
A.
We cannot change the dimensions on our polyethylene tanks; however, it is possible to change the dimensions of our FRP tanks. For details, please contact our Tokyo Head Office or the branch office or sales office nearest to you.
